Above all else we value Tecwyns integrity and thoroughness, and his ability to problem solve in advance whilst keeping a project running smoothly. His military background mean he has excellent communication and logistics skills, which are a perfect complement to an eye for detail and an ability to work well with people with very high standards.
We also value Tecwyns commitment to work with young people to introduce them to landscape and mentor them in the workplace, sometimes when they have had no previous role models in life. Seeing them flourish is a joy.
As a studio we appreciate Tecwyn understanding and working with our approach to sustainable design, from reusing materials on site, to sourcing reclaimed and low footprint materials, to treading very lightly around existing planting and ecosystems. I have had the pleasure of working with Tecwyn Evans and his talented and highly skilled team at Living Landscapes. Tecwyn’s company was engaged to build my garden ‘Beneath a Mexican Sky’ at the show. This is a year’s undertaking and a very stressful time but from the word go Tecwyn showed his ability to manage both the project and his team.
We had many meetings and I was grateful that Tecwyn took the time to explain the process of the build and we went through every fine detail until I was happy with exactly how this garden was going to be built. I received a call every evening with an update as to what works had been carried out and the schedule for the following day.
Tecwyn also presented me with a build schedule for when we were at the site. A full break down with who will be on site on what day, what they will be doing, approx how many hours they will spend doing the task and when deliveries will be arriving. Tecwyn organisational and management skills really put me at ease and I have to say I have been spoilt as I now expect this from all my contractors.
It has been an absolute joy to work with such a professional team and I am really looking forward to working with them in the future.
